Life can be nice and easy, if you take care of what you've been given, and you keep your body in good health and shape. This is not always easy, as w all have a genetic heritage which can bring us inherited diseases we cannot avoid, thus being forced to face the reality and struggle with their symptoms.
Since our body has to bear the burden, or the "karma" that our parents and forefathers have transmitted from generation to generation, there's no need for additional stress from our side. Atl east this is how I think: why would I go for a low carb weight loss plan, when I know this is not so beneficial for my health, and that it may damage my internal organs such as kidneys or liver?
One of the tips that could help you stay healthy is avoiding overeating. We are social creatures, so many times we enjoy having dinner with others, chatting, telling jokes, exchanging opinions. We like it that much that we want it to last as long a possible, and this is why we tend to never stop eating, because we still want to spend a bit more time with our friends. This is how after the starters, we have the first main course, then the second main course, then the desert, forgetting that we were actually full even after the first dish.
Another plague of our extreme sociability is alcohol. Small quantities of alcohol make us feel more fun, we are more open, we tend to communicate more and to laugh more. Too bad we cannot stop at the dizziness threshold, and so many times we have balance troubles after getting out with our friends. Food and wine are our sworn enemies in such cases.
This is how one can become overweight in about one-two years of hectic life. Some of us get that fat that only surgical weight loss can still help them live a relatively normal life.
Now I'm not saying that one should never have fun with friends and enjoy a good meal and a nice glass of wine, but make sure not to transform the meal in a five-hour endeavour and the glass of wine in a couple of bottles.
